BSAA is pleased to advise that a one-day training will be organized  on Wed., 5th June 2013 on the topic "Marine Claims and Insurance".

Cargo claims are unavoidable in our shipping business.  Understanding the principle and practice of marine claims is therefore essential to our proper claims handling.  Claim prevention is also vital to the viability of our business operation.  Training on this topic will be conducted by Khun Suphachai Mungkiatskul, formerly with Maersk.  Khun Suphachai will share to us best practices from his vast experience in claims handling.

Marine cargo insurance is an integral part of the shipping industry.  Understanding of the principle of cargo insurance will help us better understand the division of legal liabilities between carrier and underwriter.  We are privileged to have Khun Somchai Supapiyodomsiri as our speaker on this topic.  Khun Somchai is a senior executive of a leading insurance company.  Training attendees will have a chance to gain in-depth understanding of cargo insurance.

As knowledge of marine claims and insurance enhances work performances, not only personnel dealing with claims handling staff in customer service, sales operations and documentation are also recommended to attend this training.
