Asia-Europe rate falls 2.1pc to US$928/TEU, increases by 0.9pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday declined 2.1 per cent to US$928 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index(SCFI).

Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 1.6 per cent to $909 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast rose 0.9 per cent to $2,086 per FEU while those to the east coast up 6.9 per cent to $3,317 per FEU.
